Associate Professor Dr. Thomas Böldicke received his PhD 1982 at the Max-Planck-Institute of Molecular Genetics, Berlin. He started his carrier as post doc at the German Research Centre for Biotechnology (GBF, Braunschweig, Germany) in the Department of Genetics and Cell Biology by John Collins. Now he is project leader for Cancer Immunotherapy at the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research (HZI, former GBF). He developed recombinant antibodies against tumor antigens, particularly against tumor angiogenesis, rhabdyomyosarcoma and recently against TLR2 and TLR9 in pancreatic cancer and has a collaboration with Prof. Waaga-Gasser in Medical School about adoptive T-cell therapy. He edited two books: “Protein Targeting Compounds” with Springer (2016) and “Antibody Engineering” with Intech Open (2017). He has published 28 manuscripts citated in Pub med. Over 10 years he gave lectures at the Technical University in Braun schweig about immunology, cancer development and immunotherapies. He is in the editorial board of the journal Antibodies as academic editor and co-editor in Frontiers in Immunology.

Lisa Derosa is a clinical oncologist and University Lecturer - Hospital Practitioner (MCU-PH) in clinical immunology at the University of Paris-Saclay, and hospital practitioner in the medical oncology department of Gustave Roussy. After obtaining her degree in medical oncology in Italy, she moved to France in 2016. She then pursued the European University Diploma in Translational and Clinical Research in Cancer (DUERTECC) at the University of Paris-Saclay, and in the same year joined the INSERM U1015 unit, affiliated with this university, with the support of a grant from the Philanthropia Foundation. She obtained her PhD in clinical immunology from Paris-Saclay University in 2019. In 2022, she was appointed clinical director of the ClinicObiome program at Gustave Roussy, a structure dedicated to microbiota-centered therapeutic interventions in cancer patients. In 2023, she became a university lecturer and hospital practitioner in immunology and a permanent member of the INSERM U1367 unit. In 2024, she defended her habilitation to supervise research (HDR). Dr. Derosa's work has significantly contributed to advances in cancer immunology and immunotherapy, notably by highlighting the central role of the gut microbiota in the response to cancer treatments. Her research has demonstrated the detrimental impact of antibiotics on the efficacy of immunotherapy and has led to the development of diagnostic approaches for gut dysbiosis.

Michael Thompson is a Professor of the Department of Chemistry at the Universtiy of Toronto. The main thrust of research in the Thompson laboratory is the development of new techniques for the label-free detection of biochemical events at the liquid-solid interface. The goal is to generate new technologies for application in bioanalytical chemistry and detection science, notably in the areas of clinical diagnostics, biocompatibility and nanotoxiciology. The work is highly interdisciplinary in character and involves activities ranging from the design and construction of new instruments to theoretical calculations. Research staff possesses multidisciplinary expertise including such areas as basic electronics, surface chemistry, biochemistry, computational methods, and materials science.
